Russellville School District
The
Russellville School District is comprised of six elementary schools
for kindergarteners through 4th graders, an upper
elementary and middle school campus for 5th through 7th
graders, a junior high campus for 8th and 9th
grade students, and a high school campus for grades 10 through 12. Over
5,100 students are enrolled in the Russellville school district,
which ranks within the top 20 largest districts in Arkansas.
The
Russellville School District is a two-tine honoree of a Blue
Ribbon District designation from Expansion Management
Magazine’s annual “Education Quotient” school rankings which
placed the Russellville School District in the top 30th
percentile of the school districts in the US. More than 50% of
Russellville High School graduates enroll in programs of higher
education each year. The average ACT score in the Russellville
School District is 23.4, which is above the state average for the
exam.
Russellville
High School is also home of the crimson Cyclones. Football, men’s and
women’s basketball, track, baseball, soccer, cheerleading, dance
team, and many other sports are offered at RHS. Russellville
Junior High’s Whirlwinds and Russellville Middle School’s
Gales are other mascots within the school district.
Pottsville School District
The
Pottsville School District consists of one elementary school, junior
high, and high school.
Pottsville
High School is fully accredited by the State of Arkansas and the
North Central Association of Public Schools. In
1999-2000, Pottsville High School was named one of "America's
Top 100" technology in education schools. The school offers
educational opportunities for its 450 students, emphasizing the
basics of language arts, mathematics, science and social studies.
